About The Exam – NATA/B.Arch
The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) judges the aptitude of candidates for the specific field of study- architecture. It is conducted by Council of Architecture, New Delhi. It measures observation and drawing skills, aesthetic sensitivity, sense of proportion and critical thinking ability all related to architecture. NATA scores are used for admission to B. Arch courses in many institutions India wide.

NATA consists of 2 papers (3 hours duration).
Part A: Online test – Aesthetic Sensitivity-100 marks (1 hour)
Part B: Paper based test:
Drawing- 100 marks (2 hours)
Aesthetic Sensitivity is to judge perception, observation and imagination; communication and creativity and Architectural awareness. The test is of objective type.
Drawing Ability Test judges skills of sketching, visualization, perspective drawing, and creating visual harmony with colours.
The following can appear for NATA:
• Any candidate, who has passed class X or equivalent exam.
• Any candidate, who has appeared for 10+ 2 exam, is waiting for results and is confident of securing admission to a B. Arch program.
• Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) from recognized board or university with subject of math and 50% marks.
• Candidates who have 10 plus 3 diploma (any stream) recognized by state or central govt. with 50% marks.
